About me

My name is Cynthia Maher. I’m an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500 and RYS 200, through Yoga Alliance and have been on the yogic path since 2000. I specialize in yoga therapy for veterans with PTSD and Chronic pain. These classes are design to help with stress reduction, pain management, bereavement, and healing. Each of my class energy is devoted to creating space for students to access their own innate presence through postures, flow, breath and awareness.
 
I am a continuing student of various yoga vocations, meditation and yogic philosophy and teach from my own evolving practice, which draws from Hatha, Kripalu, Iyengar, Yin and Vinyasa styles of Yoga. I am certified in prenatal/ postpartum Yoga, seniors Yoga, Kids Yoga, JourneyDance, Yoga & Art, Yin and have a Thai Yoga Massage certification from The Lotus Palm.
 
My personal studies have spanned all styles of yoga with some of the world’s finest teachers. These leading instructors such as Deepak Chopra, Rodney Yee, Baron Baptiste, Seane Corn, Sadie Nardini, Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Ray Long, Hari Kirin Kaur Khalsa have greatly influenced my teachings over the years.
 
Yoga is my passion and I believe it’s crucial to maintain balance in all aspects of life. My hope is to facilitate students to improve their life by making positive changes in their body, mind and spirit as they incorporate the principals of Yoga into everyday living.
