About me

I began my yoga journey and have continued my practice since 2007. It has been quite an adventure from trying Aerial yoga and feeling like an extra for Cirque de Soleil to envisioning myself in a sauna while trying Bikram. In 2014 I made one of the best decisions of my life to take my practice further and truly learn the origin and science behind yoga by registering to 305 Yoga’s 200 hour Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher (RYT) training. I will forever be grateful to Terri Cooper and Claire Santos for all of their teachings. Besides learning alignment, sanskrit names for poses, and how to sequence a class, these Yoginis took my experience further into practicing all 8 Limbs of yoga, understanding chakras, and making a safe space for all students. In addition to being a yogi, I am a Learning Specialist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I specialize in working with children with learning differences and helping them as well as their families cope with its accompanying distress. I have always included yoga teachings with my clients and this year I made it official by graduating from Karma Kids children’s teacher training and from OKAY Live children’s teacher training. Both courses were so different in style and great in their own ways. My passion is working with both kids and adults. My work with kids influences my style with “older students” to always practice with a light child-like mentality.

I enjoy practicing and teaching various styles of yoga that combine postures that promote flexibility and sequence them to build endurance. I believe that the key to a successful practice is having an open heart, listening to your body, and respecting its pace.
