About me
Yogacharini Aishwariya, or simply Ash, is a source of knowledge and vitality! She is a certified Yoga Teacher, by ICYER, Ananda Ashram, Pondicherry, South India, also recognised by the International Yoga Federation. She was awarded the title of Yogacharini, which means “one who is fit to teach by example,” at the end of her 6 months intensive Yoga Teacher’s Training Course in 1999-2000. This is an important title, as it suggests one should live Yoga in every way, at all times. One should therefore ever be aware of how one thinks, talks and acts. In her classes, every student is exposed to these ancient concepts, as Yoga cannot truly exist without them. As much as these concepts are esoteric and complex, Aishwariya incorporates them so that her students get to experience them in a very practical way, always using the body in a gentle and conscious manner, to positively influence the emotions and the mind. Instead of being a victim of psycho-somatic effects creating ailment in the body, she teaches you to recondition, prevent, or even rehabilitate the body to produce a strong and positive somato-psychic effect, producing a healthy and happy human being. This empowerment is what motivates her. Sharing her love of Yoga and all the incredible goodness it produces makes her an effective and caring teacher. She has taught in India, Japan and here in her hometown, Montreal. She teaches to groups of professionals, namely teachers at the EMSB, as well as to children, and mommies and babies, at all levels. With her extensive and intensive training and experience, she knows how to modulate each class according to her students’ needs. She creates a welcoming and non-competitive atmosphere, so you may focus on your own self, your own development and increasing sense of well-being.

About my class and techniques:
