The 2nd edition of Yogafest was a great success! On July 1st, everyone was welcome to the Quays of the Old Port in Montreal to celebrate Canada Day and discover the benefits of yoga! Individuals and families, from beginners to advanced, enjoyed a day of pure fun and relaxation!
On the schedule this year were yoga workshops and demonstrations of various modern forms of yoga, presented by some of the best professional instructors in Canada, including Suzanne Ross at Yoga Dance, Allison Ulan and her team at Ashtanga, Monica Ordaz accompanied by the incredible Cameron Shayne, founder of the Budokon style, Melanie Chevarie at Yoga Vinyasa and Yoga for kids as well as Jill Campbell and Pancho Sandoval from Acrobatic Yoga. Lots of participants were there to see the big Yoga Jam at sunset, where all the pros gathered together for one final stretch! Joining us this year, was the amazing DJ AbeilleGélinas, who set the mats on fire!
Professionals and amateurs aged 2 to 85 were invited in the Old Port to be a part of the Yogafest celebration for free. For more information on the event, visit yogafest2011.com.
